Former Pinal Assessor worker wants to run office

Jacqueline MintoWhen Jacqueline Minto learned that incumbent Doug Wolf might run unopposed for county assessor, she felt it was her “civic duty” to leave her job as appraisal manager in Coconino County and challenge him.

“I really have the experience for the position,” she said. “Doug Wolf does not. He has no assessment experience …aside from these past four years.”

She didn’t like the way he ran the Assessor’s Office, and she worked there from 2007 to 2015. She said she has compared Wolf’s leadership with that of his predecessor, Paul Larkin, who retired after 28 years when Wolf was elected in 2012.
