Income ranking drops in state, Pinal

Arizonans continue to lose ground against the rest of the nation when it comes to income, especially those living in Pinal County.

New figures Thursday from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis show the state’s per capita personal income for 2015 at $39,156. That’s an increase of just slightly more than 3 percent from 2014.

By contrast, the same numbers for the country as a whole last year were $48,112, a boost of nearly 3.7 percent.

More to the point, it means that per capita income in Arizona is now at just 81.4 percent of the national figure.

In Pinal County it is much worse.
