Kortsen tops in Casa Grande council race

Unofficial results of the Casa Grande City Council race showed voters choosing to retain one incumbent council member and add a new one to the ranks.

As of 11 p.m., incumbent Mary Kortsen was elected to a third term on the council, leading the field with 4,219 votes, according to the Pinal County Elections Office website.

Donna McBride trailed by about 350 votes, which she hoped would land her the other seat up for grabs.
