Main Street improvements get green light in Coolidge

In a split vote, Coolidge City Council approved a $2.55 million package to fix the roads on Main Street from Coolidge Avenue to Pinkley Avenue and Central Avenue from Main Street to 1st Street.
Design work is expected to be completed in November with all clearances in place for utilities, right-of-way and environmental. Advertisement is expected to be underway in December and construction contract award ready for March 2017 just after Cotton Days weekend. Construction should last approximately six months.
On Monday, Oct. 24, Finance Director Lisa Pannella gave council the greatest hits of the Main Street reconstruction project, which was talked about during the budgeting process earlier this year.
