Outgoing Casa Grande mayor reflects on his 9 years in office

Monday is Mayor Bob Jackson’s last official day in office.

His nine-year tenure leading Casa Grande will come to an end after mayor-elect Craig McFarland is sworn in during Monday night’s City Council meeting.

He was elected to office for four consecutive two-year terms and got an extra year of service after the city rescheduled when it holds elections. Much has changed about Casa Grande during that time — schools have been built and new businesses have arrived.
