Lamb tells lawmakers Pinal growth creating public safety challenges

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb took the podium at the Arizona State Senate’s Commerce and Public Safety Committee meeting Monday afternoon to outline the challenges he’s looking to overcome in Pinal.

Topics ranged from the possibility of San Tan Valley incorporating, border issues, mental health, budget concerns and staffing shortages, among others.

Lamb, a San Tan Valley resident who has served as sheriff for just over a month, said that with the “$19 billion of economic growth in the pipeline” for Pinal County, he wants to remain watchful of law enforcement falling “behind the curve.”
