Council approves new manager contract

The Marana Town Council offered Marana Town Manager Gilbert Davidson a new two-year contract that will keep him on board at least through the 2019 fiscal year.
The council voted 5-1 on the new deal, with Council Member Roxanne Ziegler as the only dissenting vote. Council Member Herb Kai was not present. Although Ziegler was unable to comment after the June 5 meeting, she was apparently not in favor of the two pay raises in the contract.
