Maricopa Chamber not selected to take over MCE contract

The city has chosen an organization to take over management of the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship, and their selection was not the Chamber of Commerce.

Since its inception, MCE has operated under the Flagstaff-based Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship. However, in October — after three years of seeing little progress — the city decided not to renew the NACET contract.

At the end of October, the city opened a Request for Service of Qualifications — which is the city’s way of accepting bids. The deadline for that ROSQ was the end of November, but was later canceled in December.
