Florence Hospital at Anthem to close Monday

Florence Hospital at Anthem will have its doors closed Monday after it was deemed that operational financing had run out for the financially troubled facility.
New Vision Health, which owns Florence Hospital and Gilbert Hospital, was assigned a receiver by Maricopa County Superior Court on June 7 to try to obtain enough capital to keep the hospitals open, but financing could not be found by Resolute Commercial Services.
New Vision announced that having exhausted all other avenues of financial stability, both hospitals would be closing permanently, beginning with Gilbert Hospital on Friday and followed by Florence Hospital at 8 a.m. Monday.
