The sweet scent of cinnamon rolls isn’t the aroma you’d expect in an airport terminal, but at Casa Grande Municipal Airport, home to the Foxtrot Cafe, pilots and visitors often fly in to find owner Amber Downs taking a fresh batch of rolls, muffins or scones out of the oven.
“Baking is my first love,” said Downs, who opened the restaurant overlooking the runway about three years ago.
While it specializes in coffee, tea, smoothies, sandwiches and salads, Foxtrot Cafe is also known for its baked goods.
