In tentative Pinal budget, law and order gets large, but smaller, piece of pie

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office takes the largest portion of the county’s general fund in the proposed budget.
The Sheriff’s Office expenditures from the general fund total $45,844,892, not including the cost of employee benefits.
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors adopted the 2018-19 tentative budget Wednesday, for the year beginning July 1.
