Arizona Corporation Commissioner talks energy plan, Johnson Utilities

Arizonans need an energy plan, according to Arizona Corporation Commissioner Andy Tobin.
Tobin shared with Pinal County business leaders the energy plan he hopes to implement for Arizona at the Coolidge Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon on June 20.
The plan proposes to gradually up the state’s reliance on renewable energy to about 80 percent by 2050. The idea behind the proposal is to set goals and guiding principles for utilities to aim at while also providing them with the flexibility to implement the technologies they see fit to meet the 2050 deadline.
