George Johnson Files Restraining Order & Lawsuit to Stop Interim Manager Appointment

Hours before the scheduled 4:00 p.m. Arizona Corporation Commission Open Meeting where the decision will be made either selecting Epcor or the Town of Queen Creek and the Town of Florence, a lawsuit challenging the ACC’s authority to appoint an interim manager as well as a Temporary Restraining Order to stop any decisions from being made was posted to docket WS-02987A-18-0050.
The Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction asks for the Courts to temporarily block the Arizona Corporation Commission from taking any further action to “usurp the power of Plaintiff George J Johnson, as trustee of the George H Johnson Revocable Trust to decide who shall act as manager of Johnson Utilities.” The order can be viewed here.
