Utility Update

The next ACC meeting regarding JU is being held Tuesday, July 24 at the ACC office in Phoenix. Supervisor Goodman strongly encourages residents to attend this meeting. He has stated that this is a critical moment in this process and that it requires your support and engagement for solutions to be reached. More information regarding this meeting can be found at www.azcc.gov.

Additionally, over the last few months, Supervisor Goodman has been meeting with County staff to discuss how other governing entities, developers, and the County can work together to ensure current resident water and sewer needs are met. Discussions have also focused on how future growth will be handled. More details to come on this topic as decisions are finalized.

Roadwork

Hunt Highway construction continues, as crews are currently installing concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, and median curb. The actual paving is scheduled to begin the week of August 6. Over the weekend of August 11-12, the intersection of Hunt Highway and Bella Vista will be completely closed for restoration work. To access businesses, motorists will need to use Gantzel Road and Johnson Ranch Boulevard. In addition, the portion of Hunt Highway between Red Rd. and Johnson Ranch Blvd/Gantzel Road is scheduled to re-open on August 10 to prepare for this closure.
