Supervisor House defends past dealings with Johnson Utilities

The activist group United Citizens has circulated an online petition calling for the immediate resignation of Pinal County Supervisor Todd House for what they say is a clear appearance of a conflict of interest.

House, R-Apache Junction, says his resignation is not warranted in this situation and that his hands are tied until after an Arizona Corporation Commission hearing is completed.

“Am I stuck in an area where I can’t do a dang thing right now? Yeah,” House said. “My legal counsel has told me that there will be no more discussion or talk with Johnson Utilities until the ACC hearing is done.”
