Vitiello tries to break through with Maricopa voters in second council run

Although Rich Vitiello has had his fair share of experience running for public office to no avail, he has not given up. That, he said, is because he loves his community and is dedicated to helping it reach its goals.

Vitiello first moved to Maricopa in 2005, and quickly became involved in the softball community. There, he often played against former Maricopa Mayor Kelly Anderson.

“Every night after the games, we would sit around talking about what the city needs to do,” Vitiello said.
