Property owners contemplate co-working space in Maricopa

Home-based and small business owners often struggle with finding affordable brick-and-mortar options in Maricopa. But that struggle may soon get a little easier.

The owners of Duke Plaza are looking into opening a co-working space in one of their office locations. The building owners said they are getting calls at least once a week asking for small business spaces.

The shopping center, located on North John Wayne Parkway and West Garvey Avenue, currently houses businesses like a pet groomer, a bank, a dance studio, a smoke shop and more. The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce also recently moved into this location.
