Average rentals in Casa Grande are about $1,200 per month, plus utility payments. But according to Casa Grande Mayor Craig McFarland, affordable housing should be about $800 per month.

In Casa Grande city limits, most renters also pay an additional 1.8 percent tax on their rent.
