Debates slated for Pinal legislative races

Voters will have an opportunity to hear from area legislative candidates during a series of upcoming debates sponsored by the Clean Elections Commission.
Legislative District 8 candidates will be featured at a debate on Sept. 17 at the Florence Community Center, 778 N. Main St. Candidates for state Senate are incumbent Frank Pratt, R-Casa Grande, and Sharon Girard, D-Eloy. Candidates for state House are Republican incumbents T.J. Shope of Coolidge and David Cook of Globe and Democratic challengers Carmen Casillas and Linda Gross, both of Globe.
