Ducey appoints former judge, prosecutor to Pinal court

Pinal County’s former presiding judge has been picked by Gov. Doug Ducey to return to the same court he left a few years ago.

Robert Carter Olson, who resigned from Pinal County Superior Court in 2013, is one of two appointments Ducey announced this week to fill vacancies left open by the retirements of Henry Gooday and Brenda Oldham.

Patrick Gard, a former prosecutor who currently works as a commissioner for Superior Court, was appointed to fill the other position.
