State transportation board to hear input from residents in Florence

Florence Reminder & Blade Tribune

The State Transportation Board will meet at 9 a.m. Friday in the Florence Town Council chambers, 775 N. Main St.

Members of the public may appear before the board to be heard on any transportation-related issue. Persons wishing to protest any action taken or contemplated by the board may appear before this open forum. The board welcomes citizen involvement, although because of Arizona’s open meeting laws, no actions may be taken on items which do not appear on the formal agenda. This does not, however, preclude discussion of other issues.

State transportation staff will provide an update and overview of issues of regional significance, including updates on current and upcoming construction projects, district operations, maintenance activities and any regional transportation studies. Staff will also present a report showing the status of highway projects under construction, including total number and dollar value.
