Casa Grande planners consider new zone for multi-use developments

City planners are considering a new zoning designation for large, multi-use developments that could benefit a proposed motor sports park.
Following a public hearing Thursday night, several zone amendments will now go for a vote of the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission.
At the hearing on proposed changes to the city’s general plan, staff brought forth a plan to create a new land-use category, a large, mixed-use designation. Planner Joe Horn said the new designation would be used for parcels of more than 350 acres.
