Johnson hearing pushed back; stay on hookups remains in place

The question of new water and wastewater hookups for Johnson Utilities in Pinal County will have to wait a little longer.

An open meeting of the Arizona Corporation Commission planned for Thursday, which was slated to discuss the utility and new hookups to the system, has been rescheduled.

Interim manager EPCOR had requested the stay on adding any additional meters or sewer hookups while an agreement can be reached on how to handle Johnson’s significant capacity and infrastructure problems. An initial 96-hour stay was granted on Oct. 11, then an additional 72-hour stay was approved by the ACC on Oct. 15.
