A state judge is recommending the owners of a private utility be found in contempt and pay a $5,000 fine.
According to filings with the Arizona Corporation Commission, Administrative Law Judge Jane Rodda found sufficient evidence to recommend the Arizona Corporation Commission hold Johnson Utilities in contempt for violating a previous order of the ACC.
Additionally, Rodda is recommending the fine, the maximum allowable under state statute. State law allows the Corporation Commission to pursue the fine and the contempt charge.
