Pinal County Presenting Proposed Alternative Solutions to Regional Flooding Issues
[NEWS RELEASE] A comprehensive study of the McClellan Wash and adjacent area in Eloy and Picacho has been progressing over the past year. Components of the study include gathering information about historic flooding patterns, modeling rainfall runoff and flow paths, prioritizing risks, developing alternatives, and recommending a comprehensive plan for managing stormwater runoff.
Pinal County will hold a public information meeting on October 18, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a brief presentation beginning at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the City of Eloy Santa Cruz Library, 100 N Main Street, Eloy, AZ 85131.
The purpose of the meeting is to present an overview of the study area and summarize recent flood events and known drainage issues confronting the region. The meeting will also include a presentation by Pinal County and the study team, showing the proposed alternative solutions to regional flooding issues. There will also be comment cards available for public input.
