School sizes, culture have changed dramatically in Maricopa

Nearly 20 years ago, Jenn Miller walked across the stage, received her diploma and sat down with her fellow graduates of Maricopa High School.

There were about 60 of them at the time.

Since then, of course, everything but the location of the campus has changed. In May, 357 students graduated from the high school. The sports teams that used to compete in the 2A conference are now in 5A. It is the largest school, in terms of student population, in Pinal County.
