’21st century school’ still progressing at Florence K-8

Despite the apparent loss of Innovation Pavilion as a partner, Florence Unified School District continues to make progress toward a STEM school at Florence K-8.

Assistant Superintendent Adam Leckie said Tuesday that FUSD hasn’t had much contact with IP for the last month or so, including no formal announcement of the company’s status. A Denver-based business news website reported IP had “ceased operations.”

STEM is typically education shorthand for “science, technology, engineering and mathematics,” but IP’s model changed the last two items to “entrepreneurship and mastery.”
