County declares emergency for flood damage around Maricopa

Pinal County has declared a state of emergency for costly infrastructure damage caused by a series of rainstorms last month.

The Board of Supervisors passed a proclamation this week, declaring a condition of emergency in the western part of the county.

In early October, roads around Maricopa were flooded with rainfall brought by the remnants of Hurricane Rosa. Multiple roads were closed and a nearby school had to shut down for a day.
