Job shadowing allows Coolidge teen to learn tricks of a trade

Tucked away just off Randolph Road, behind a gate designed to keep intruders out, the TransCanada Coolidge Generating Station might come off as a little intimidating to the average passerby.

But that’s not the case for Iwalani Stine, a student at the Coolidge Alternative Program.

“I always thought (engineering) was hard when I was younger,” she said. Now, Stine says that the field is definitely one she wants to consider when she goes to college.
