New Pinal basin study plans for future water scarcities

In an era when water supplies are becoming more scarce, the new Eloy and Maricopa-Stanfield Basin Study is described as “relevant, timely and critical.”

The EMS Basin Study is designed to assess current and future water demands and supplies and develop strategies to ensure there is sustainability for the water supply. The EMS study is located in central Arizona within the Arizona Department of Water Resources Pinal Active Management Area.

“We are at ground zero for the issues that are about to develop,” said Ron Fleming, president and CEO of Global Water Resources. “This area is about to experience profound water resource changes.”
