County seeks federal land for new park

Public comments are being accepted on creating a new park in northern Pinal County.
Pinal County has asked the Bureau of Land Management to lease the county about 500 acres of undeveloped land to create a regional park. The park would include hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, tent camping and equestrian and picnic areas.
The Board of Supervisors originally sought to create the park, known as Peralta, in 2015. The park will be located north and west of Florence Junction and east of Peralta Road.
