Human Resources Manager Patrick Camunez told the board employees were placed in new offices based on a combination of factors, including their seniority and their willingness to travel to a different office. The judicial office supervisor in Oracle was offered a position in San Tan Valley, 75 miles away. Camunez said the woman voluntarily took a demotion to court clerk in order to work at the court closest to her home. With a voluntary demotion comes an automatic decrease in pay to be in line with the job which the person actually does.
