County, Hidden Valley residents in battle over streets

Pinal County officials and residents around Hidden Valley disagree on what can be done about the roads and culverts that sustained damage in October’s torrential rains.

Resident Brad Cosby said the county is neglecting its duty to residents because crews haven’t addressed flooding issues on and around his and others’ property. He told PinalCentral the problems started when the county built up a culvert adjacent to his property, and the water would flow into the culvert during heavy rains, such as when the effects of Hurricane Rosa were felt in Pinal in October.

He organized a neighborhood meeting and invited county officials to discuss the issue; however, Cosby said none of the neighbors attended the meeting. Several public works officials did meet with Cosby.
