Casa Grande rodeo grounds get valuable upgrades

Spectators to the upcoming celebration for the city and neighboring tribal communities will notice an improved arena to enjoy the events.
At Ed Hooper Rodeo Park, a metal covering will keep sun — and rain — off the crowd. Casa Grande City Manager Larry Rains, who also sits on the committee for the Cowboy Days & O’Odham Tash, said the newly covered bleachers are just one example of the relationship between the city and the tribes.
