Florence gathering input on parks plan

Public input is still being gathered for the town’s new parks and recreation comprehensive plan, scheduled to be completed late this summer.
The town has mailed a survey to random Florence households. Everyone is also welcome to take an online survey, expected to appear next week on the town website, florenceaz.gov. The town’s consultant, GreenPlay, will compile the survey results and return to Florence to present them, GreenPlay principal Pat O’Toole told a dozen people in attendance at a public forum Jan. 31 at the Florence Library & Community Center.
GreenPlay representatives reported the results of their meetings with interested parties or “stakeholders,” and gathered more public input at forums last week at Anthem Parkside and at the community center.
