A Pinal County lawmaker took to the floor to advocate for increased funding to continue to study the widening of Interstate 10.
On Wednesday, Rep. T.J. Shope, R-Coolidge, spoke in support of House Bill 2465, which would authorize $10 million for a study needed to widen I-10 between Chandler and Casa Grande.
Shope, who is the speaker pro tempore of the House, told PinalCentral the purpose of the bill is to demonstrate that the state is willing to match any federal money to study the widening of I-10.
