A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Gold Canyon Community Church, 5810 S. Alameda, to discuss the possible formation of a group to represent the Gold Canyon/Peralta area on regional issues.
“The concept for this collaborative group is to serve as the voice of this community in order to better communicate its unique needs and concerns with other local, county and state representatives on those important issues to the community,” Apache Junction Mayor Jeff Serdy said in a release.
“Such issues may include the proposed North-South Corridor connecting U.S. (Highway) 60 near Gold Canyon to Interstate 10 near Eloy, future development and infrastructure needs, among others,” he said.
