Official: Pinal Airpark needs major repairs

Pinal Airpark near Marana needs almost $10 million in upgrades and repairs, a county official said.
Wednesday the Pinal County Board of Supervisors heard an update on the county-owned and -administered airports: San Manuel Airport and Pinal Airpark.
Jim Petty, airport economic development director, said Pinal Airpark suffers from aging infrastructure, with more than $5 million in improvements needed to the water system, $2.3 million in electrical work and $2.45 million needed to improve roadways.
