Pinal schools get 8 buses in latest round of state allocation

Pinal County schools will get eight new buses in the latest round of funding provided in a $38 million legal settlement with Volkswagen.
Gov. Doug Ducey announced Monday the $5 million in funding for the purchase of 45 new buses for rural school districts and charter schools across Arizona.
Pinal school districts receiving buses in this latest round of funding include: Stanfield Elementary School District, Ray Unified School District in Kearny, Excalibur Charter Schools in Apache Junction, Oracle Elementary School District, Florence Unified School District, Santa Cruz Valley Union High School District, Toltec Elementary School District and J.O. Combs Unified School District in San Tan Valley.
