Queen Creek agrees to annex 4,140 acres of state land in Pinal

Anticipating future growth in the area, the Queen Creek Town Council has approved a pre-annexation development agreement with the state of Arizona for over 4,000 acres of land that would expand its boundaries further north into Pinal County.
The land belongs to the Arizona State Trust, which exists to oversee state-owned property and make sure it is used in the best interest of the state. It is six square miles located between Germann Road and Williams Field Road, and between Schnepf Road and Meridian Drive.
