CAC board extends president’s contract with 1% increase

Since taking over as president of Central Arizona College on July 1, 2016, Jackie Elliott has been on the front lines of major economic news in Pinal County.
At last week’s Pinal Alliance for Economic Growth annual luncheon, both Peter Hasenkamp of Lucid Motors and Britton Worthen of Nikola Corporation credited the supply of a skilled workforce in the area as reasons for the companies’ decision to come to the county.
At the center of that supply has been Elliott, who after Lucid’s announcement in November 2016 to build a manufacturing plant in Casa Grande, helped develop a curriculum to train workers.
