Eloy gearing up to make sure everyone counted in 2020 census

City officials want to make sure everyone who lives in Eloy gets counted in the 2020 census regardless of his or her citizenship status.

The city has formed a Complete Count Committee for the 2020 census. The CCC is composed of community members, including Mayor Joel Belloc and City Councilman Jose Garcia. They have one goal: to ensure that everyone in the community is counted.

According to the CCC small, rural communities like Eloy have struggled to get everyone counted because residents are sometimes uncertain if their information will be protected.
