The City Council has approved a $220,000 settlement with Larry and Liliane Hill for the acquisition of approximately 11.5 acres at Eloy Municipal Airport.

The purchase culminates a two-year process by the city to improve the taxiway at the airport.

“The property we’re talking about includes interest,” City Manager Harvey Krauss told the council at its meeting Tuesday. “The price is approximately 41 cents per square foot. Mr. Hill is satisfied with this settlement and I recommend that we go forward with it.”
