U-Haul industrial rezoning with RV storage approved by Apache Junction City Council

Vacant land located at the SE corner of the US60 & Idaho Road.
Approximately 50 acres of a vacant 78-acre property at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 60 and South Idaho Road has been rezoned, with a U-Haul truck rental and self-storage facility to be the first development.
Plans include the facility to be constructed on about 10 acres at the southeast corner of the freeway and Idaho Road and includes 128 spaces for RV, boat and vehicle storage.
The Apache Junction City Council on April 16 approved in a 6-0 vote the rezoning from general commercial by planned development to light industrial/business park by planned development and amended a plan of development for the remaining 28-acre portion of the property.
