A group picture after the committee meeting

For the June Pinal Partnership Government Relations Committee Meeting, we were joined by Representative David Cook who provided a recap of the 54th Legislature that adjourned Sine Die on May 28th.

Representative Cook is proud of the collaboration and teamwork with his fellow legislators Senator Frank Pratt and Representative TJ Shope. Together this trio worked hard for Pinal County using their varied strengths and brought more attention to District 8 than ever before.

Topics discussed at the committee meeting included aviation and transportation, education funding including community colleges and pay raises for teachers, restoration of the Heritage Fund, water including the Drought Contingency Plan, tax cuts, and details of the balanced budget.

Representative Cook is excited about the funds being allocated for various projects in the County.
