Copa Shorts, Casa Grande museum among recipients of state arts grants
Statewide, 260 programs and organizations will share more than $2.63 million being awarded by the Arizona Commission on the Arts. In Pinal County, five nonprofits were selected to receive a portion of the grant funding.
The Copa Shorts Film Fest in Maricopa is one of two organizations in Maricopa to receive funding from the program.
It will receive $3,000, which will allow organizers to offset some of the cost of equipment, supplies, administrative expenses, training costs and other needs for the annual film festival, said Director Shelley Gillespie.
