Pinal County is selling $63 million in bonds to build new county offices in Florence, San Tan Valley and Maricopa in the next couple of years.
The Board of Supervisors narrowly granted final approval of the bond issue Wednesday morning. Steve Miller, R-Casa Grande, who previously expressed wariness about taking on this much debt, voted no, as did Pete Rios, D-Dudleyville.
Rios previously proposed waiting on the most expensive building, a new County Attorney’s Office building estimated to cost $17 million to $20 million. “I still have an issue” with that building, he said Wednesday.
