Casa Grande council gets update on I-10 widening study

The City Council on Monday got an update on the state’s progress on the Interstate 10 widening study between Loop 202 and State Route 387.
Greg Byers, a representative from the Arizona Department of Transportation, said the department is still gathering public comments on the project and has started work on the environmental assessment and design concept report needed for the project.
The hope is to have a draft of both documents before June 2020. The department also hopes to hold a public meeting in the spring to present various options for the project, he said.
