The Town Council recently approved the Queen Creek Olive Mill’s agritainment zoning.

The rezone, from R1-43 (Rural Estate District) to Agritainment, was recommended for approval at the Oct. 9 Planning & Zoning Commission meeting and ultimately approved at the Nov. 6 Town Council meeting, according to a release.

“We are excited to continue to support our agricultural heritage,” Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney said in the release. “The Queen Creek Olive Mill is one of our unique agritainment destinations, which now officially has Agritainment Zoning.”

The rezone is consistent with the Agritainment General Plan Land Use designation, included in the 2018 General Plan Update.
