Arizona Water Co. seeks to rezone property to expand facility

Arizona Water Co. has applied to rezone 6.91 acres near the northeast corner of Southern Avenue and Delaware Drive for expansion of its operations center.

The rezoning is to be considered at the Tuesday, Feb. 4, meeting of the Apache Junction City Council. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

“This project is a proposed addition to and expansion of an existing (Arizona Water Co.) Operations Center,” Nicholas Maxwell, project manager of the applicant, Coe and Van Loo Consultants, said in a letter to surrounding neighbors. “The project site is comprised of three parcels of land totaling approximately 6.91 acres.”
